Preacher (The summary of the first Season)
Jesse Custer is a preacher in the small town of Anvil, Texas. On the one hand, he is a minister of God, who brings a word to the people, who gives wise advice and helps his congregation, but on the other he is an alcoholic who does not ever stop smoking a cigarette and an unbearable truth-seeker who can open the eyes to the cruel reality even to a schoolboy.
At the time of the personal crisis of faith and the desire to renounce his activities, it falls on his shoulders not the gift, not the punishment in the form of a supernatural force called Genesis – a certain substance that unintentionally arose with paradise and hell. The series tell the fascinating story of curbing by the main character his new abilities, as well as attempts to find a God who left heaven in company with his violent former girlfriend and Irish vampire-alcoholic Cassidy.
